Todas las precuelas de todos los personajes me han encantado aunque la penúltima， la De la androide Star no。la。entendido muy bien del todo。。 pero que le dediquen al último capítulo como un epílogo más， como secuela， después del。final de Winter ， en el futuro vamos。。。eso me ha gustado mucho！

Stars Above is a collection of short stories from the world and characters of the lunar chronicles。 The last short story was the one I looked forward to the most but overall it was nice to get some closure and to say goodbye to the characters I came to love。

14/20After finishing Winter， I wasn’t ready to say goodbye for good to its characters so I was glad to have Stars Above to hang on to them a bit more。 Stars Above is a collection of novellas set in the Lunar Chronicles universe Most of them are missing scenes or back stories for the characters: how did Scarlet’s grandma took care of Selene in France？ How did Wolf become the Alpha of his pack？ What were Cress， Thorne， Jacin and Winter’s childhoods like？ We know how they first met， but now we have 14/20After finishing Winter， I wasn’t ready to say goodbye for good to its characters so I was glad to have Stars Above to hang on to them a bit more。 Stars Above is a collection of novellas set in the Lunar Chronicles universe Most of them are missing scenes or back stories for the characters: how did Scarlet’s grandma took care of Selene in France？ How did Wolf become the Alpha of his pack？ What were Cress， Thorne， Jacin and Winter’s childhoods like？ We know how they first met， but now we have Kai’s POV during his first meeting with Cinder。And then we have originals: an extra unrelated （or is it） to the main characters story， “The Little Android” and the epilogue of the serie “Something old， something Blue”。 I always find it hard to rank collections like these: some stories are stronger than the others。 Most of the “childhood backstories” were fine but didn’t change much for me。 However “The Princess and the Guard” was way more interesting！ I love Winter and it was great to witness in more details how she stopped using her powers （in one of the most badass way: Winter is strong as hell and people calling her weak are dumb） and her relationship to Jacin which explains their devotion to each other。 I think it’s one of the best stories of the book by far。 I also liked “The Little Android” which was a retelling of The Little Mermaid。 Once again， I will always gush about how much I love how Meyer translates the fairytale to her universe。 Here an android trades her body for an escort droid one to get closer to the human she fell in love with。 However， the Sea Witch （Hi Cinder！） gave her a damaged body: her voice chords don’t work and using her legs cause her incredible pain。 Sadly for Star， we are closer to the classic fairytale than the Disney version！ I liked how it tied to the main story with the cyborg draft！And last but not least， Something Old something new。 It was a very heartfelt ending more focused on the characters than the grand scope of things。 Cinder abdicated and Luna is now a democracy just like she wanted and promised。 The Rampion crew is finally reunited to celebrate Scarlet and Wolf’s wedding。 It is full of fluff and I loved every part of it！ 。。。more

2。75/5 STARSI read the Lunar Chronicles back in 2017， about 4 years ago and I believe I mentioned after finishing Winter and reading Fairest that I was done with the series， I’ve lost any interest in the novellas/Stars Above because I was overall underwhelmed。 Then the new covers came out last year and although I had mixed feelings about the books， the artwork was too beautiful。 Shame on me but they were on sale at Target and I had a gift card， so why not。This book is advertised as a short story 2。75/5 STARSI read the Lunar Chronicles back in 2017， about 4 years ago and I believe I mentioned after finishing Winter and reading Fairest that I was done with the series， I’ve lost any interest in the novellas/Stars Above because I was overall underwhelmed。 Then the new covers came out last year and although I had mixed feelings about the books， the artwork was too beautiful。 Shame on me but they were on sale at Target and I had a gift card， so why not。This book is advertised as a short story collection but it feels a lot like a prequel up until The Mechanic which catches up to the first book in the series and then the last story takes place 2 years after。 Even with my vague memory of the series I as able to piece it all together; there wasn’t really a lot of new information presented。 I did really enjoy Glitches and The Princess and the Guard because it had a playful nature to the characters involved recounting their childhood。 It had humor and drama。 They’re the most developed short stories in the collection。 The Keeper had information that’s already presented in the series and I’ve never been a fan of Scarlett or wolf， which is why I also didn’t care much for The Queen’s Army。Carswell’s Guide to Being Lucky felt a lot like filler。 After Sunshine Passes By was relatively old news。 The Little Android。。。。 who？ Is this suppose to be the ship’s AI？ I can’t remember that far back but it was nice story。 I like the androids in this series， especially the ones with unpredictable programming。The Mechanic is like the bootleg Cinderella 3 sold at the local swap meet。 A scene taken from this first book in Kai’s perspective。 Did it add anything？ Probably not。 Prince Charming was way more interesting in Cinderella 3 than Prince Kai but I’m bias。 Although I don’t remember much I remember at some point I started to dislike his character。Lastly， Something Old， Something New， the ever after of the series。 The “where are they now？” which of course a fairy tale is not complete without a wedding！ Because my hatred towards Scarlett and Wolf isn’t fresh I was able power through it。 I thought I enjoyed reading Cress but Throne is kinda cringe in this。 The strongest pairing has to be Winter and Jacin。 。。。more

Okay。 Despite I really like everything in this book， I have one thing to complain:I NEED MORE CRESS AND THORNE。I was actually hoping to get much more of their interactions or being romantic in Something Old， Something New。 But I guess we’ll leave it to the imaginations and fanfictions， eh？

und dass sie am Ende doch zueinander finden。 （hide spoiler）]Glitches， #0。518/03/2021⭐️⭐️⭐️Diese Geschichte zeigt mir， wieso ich Adri einfach nur hasse， und dass Cinder vermutlich ein viel besseres Leben gehabt hätte， wenn Garan nicht an der Pest gestorben wäre。 Er wirkte sehr nett und wirklich wie eine Vaterfigur， die keinerlei Vorurteile gegenüber Cyborgs hat。 Amüsant fand ich auch， dass viele der Sachen， die hier genannt werden， später noch eine Rolle spielen。 Da ich die Bücher aber schon zum Teil gelesen hatte， konnte ich sie direkt verstehen。 The Little Android， #0。619/03/2021⭐️⭐️Hat mich jetzt nicht sooo umgehauen。 Kann nicht mal direkt sagen， woran es lag。 Vielleicht ist die Originalgeschichte einfach auch nichts für mich。 Ich habe mich schon mit dem Retelling von Christina Henry， The Mermaid， recht schwer getan。 Ich dachte auch irgendwie die ganze Zeit， dass dieser Android vielleicht später sozusagen zu Iko wird？ Weil er anscheinend Gefühle zeigen kann， was gar nicht vorgesehen ist und auch Iko scheint ja kein typischer Android zu sein， was das angeht。 Vielleicht bin ich mit der Geschichte aber auch nicht so gut klar gekommen， weil hier keine der Personen vorkam， die man aus den Hauptbüchern kennt （zumindest nicht in den ersten Drein）。 Mal schauen， vielleicht taucht ja jemand von ihnen im vierten Buch auf。The Mechanic， #0。901/04/2021⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Eigentlich bin ich kein großer Fan von Kai， aber irgendwie mag ich ihn in dieser Kurzgeschichte。 Er scheint ja hin und weg von Cinder zu sein， obwohl er sie gerade das erste mal gesehen hat。 Oh， wenn du wüsstest。 Aber seine Gedankengänge fand ich gut und an einer Stelle musste ich wirklich lachen， als er überlegte， dass er sich lieber ein anderes Hobby suchen sollte， als er anfängt， zu sehr über Cinders Lächeln nachzudenken。 Viele der andere Informationen， die man hier bekommt， sind für mich jetzt nicht mehr neu， weil ich die schon aus den Hauptbüchern kenne - aber das ist jetzt per se nicht schlimm。 Eigentlich nehme ich aus dieser Kurzgeschichte ein paar Sympathiepunkte für Kai mit， obwohl ich ihn bisher als eher "dumm" und "naiv" betrachtet habe， weil er die offensichtlichen Dinge einfach nicht erkennen kann oder will。The Queen's Army， #1。519/03/2021⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Im Nachhinein habe ich der Geschichte doch noch einen Stern mehr gegeben。 Dieses mal geht es um Wolf und wie er zu dem wurde， was er später ist。 Ich mochte Wolf im zweiten Band der Reihe eigentlich， auch wenn er danach ein wenig in den Hintergrund gerückt ist。 Vielleicht mag ich diese Kurzgeschichte daher auch mehr， weil sie auch zeigt， dass er eigentlich total der große Bruder ist， der seinen jüngeren Bruder beschützen möchte。 Ich fand es ein wenig erschreckend， dass Ran schon so früh eigentlich ein Problem damit hatte， was sich ja dann später hinaus noch viel mehr verschärft。 Interessant auch auf jeden Fall， weil man einen Einblick bekommt， wie diese Armee der Königin eigentlich erschaffen wird。 Carswell's Guide to Being Lucky， #3。101/04/2021⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Ich war wirklich sehr gespannt auf diese Geschichte， weil Carswell einfach mein absoluter Lieblingscharakter aus der ganzen Reihe ist。 Auch wenn er wohl schon als Jugendlicher ein verdammt großes Ego hatte und das auch gerne ausgenutzt hat， was ihn， wie man hier sieht， öfter in Schwierigkeiten bringt。 Ich mag ihn dennoch sehr， wobei ich glaube， dass er sich im Laufe der Jahre， also im Vergleich zu der Zeit in der Kurzgeschichte und vor allem zu der Zeit im dritten Band der Reihe， verändert hat。 （view spoiler）[Während er damals gleichzeitig auf mehreren Hochzeiten getanzt hat， hoffe ich， dass er sich ein für alle Mal für Cress entschieden hat und dieses unglaubliche Ego mal ableget。 （hide spoiler）]The Princess and the Guard， #3。602/04/2021⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+Ich würde fast behaupten， das war bisher die beste Kurzgeschichte und sie hat mir auf jeden Fall sehr viel erklärt （view spoiler）[（zum Beispiel， wieso Winter verrückt ist und was es mit den Kratzern auf sich hat und alles） （hide spoiler）]， mit dem ich bisher in den Hauptbüchern Probleme hatte und ich muss jetzt sagen， dass ich Jacin und Winter unglaublich gern habe！ Ihre Freundschaft， die sich bei Winter allmählich in Liebe verwandelt hat， fand ich wirklich schön und gleichzeitig war ich sehr traurig， als Jacin sich auf einmal wie ein typischer Wächter verhält， zu dem er ja ausgebildet werden soll。 （view spoiler）[Aber wie er darauf reagiert， als Winter ihn bittet， sie vor den Piraten zu beschützen， das war einfach nur unglaublich schön。 Ich muss wirklich sagen， die zwei gehören jetzt， nur wegen dieser Kurzgeschichte， zu meinen Lieblingscharakteren und jetzt kann ich es gar nicht mehr abwarten， mit dem vierten Buch weiter zu lesen und mehr über die beiden zu erfahren。 （hide spoiler）]Something Old， Something New， #4。1 。。。more

I absolutely love the little insight we got with Scarlet and her Grandmother’s relationship since we didn’t see much of it during the series。 I also really liked how we got to know more about Michelle’s past。
